Time to let people know the site exists. In the iRacing forums there was a post in the "iRacing API's and Development Discussions" section titled: "App idea: Who streams my race?"https://forums.iracing.com/discussion/49714/app-idea-who-streams-my-race That thread was originally started in October 2023. I posted in that thread back then, asking if they had seen Kutu's WhoWas site, but didnt get a clear response. This forum thread was the first place I posted about SimRacingStreamers.com. My post responded to the OP's ideas and described what we had so far. They suggested some things that were pretty far our there (or so I thought at time) about direct VOD access. |

The second post was in the iRacing "General Banter" section: SimRacingStreamers.com - Find Live iRacing Streams on TwitchThe General Banter section of the iRacing forum probably gets the most general participation and eyeballs. Posting there is a good way to get the word out, but its also volatile and you can expect to get a bunch of potato reactions, even for perfectly reasonable posts. We ended up with 4 insightful light bulbs, 9 thumbs ups, and 5 potatoes. And it did work to get a spike in activity on the site and people actually started using it! |
